RMI Corporation Brings Macraigor Systems into RMI Partner Alliance
Macraigor Systems supports RMI multi-core multi-threaded processor solutions with JTAG tools and Software
CUPERTINO, Calif. April 30, 2008 — RMI Corporation, a leading supplier of Advanced Processor Solutions for networking, communications and consumer applications, today announced that Macraigor Systems, LLC has joined the RMI® Partner Alliance, a group of software, component, system and tool providers that bring comprehensive solutions to customers in the infrastructure, enterprise and media markets.
The agreement between RMI and Macraigor Systems provides RMI’s customers with hardware and software JTAG debug interface solutions for RMI’s multi-core multithreaded XLR Processor™ and XLS Processor™ families, as well as the RMI Alchemy™ Processor family. As part of this relationship, Macraigor is also offering a free port of the popular Eclipse environment and the GNU toolkit (gcc, gas and gdb) for RMI’s processors on their website, www.macraigor.com. The Macraigor Eclipse + GNU Tools Suite is an implementation and packaging of Eclipse 3.3 (Europa), Zylin Embedded CDT 4.0, several of the open-source GNU tools/utilities and a program called OcdRemote that provides an interface between eclipse, the GDB debugger and a Macraigor On-Chip debug device.
